Start with the loan details
Bring recent statements, the lender or servicer's name and any collection or court notices. Tell us what you can pay and what has changed in your finances. We can discuss the questions that need to be answered before you choose a path.
Do not assume bankruptcy erases the loan
Certain education debts require a court finding of undue hardship before they can be discharged. A separate bankruptcy proceeding may be needed. The answer depends on the loan and your circumstances; no result is guaranteed.
Bring these items
- Statements identifying each loan and servicer.
- Any payment-plan letters, collection notices or court papers.
- A simple income and expense list, plus your questions.
A clear next step
Schedule a free initial in-person consultation. If a notice includes a response date, call promptly and tell us the date. Do not send passwords or full account numbers through the appointment form.
